Switch, the U.S. data center provider, is bringing a $340 million facility to Europe following its massive SuperNAP facility in Nevada. The company is partnering with Supernap International for this massive expansion. They are also partnering with Egypt-based Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Investments (OTMTI).
The 450,000 sq ft SuperNAP site in Siziano, Pavese, will be home to four data halls, and 19.2MW of IT load, (40MW overall). This site could be Italy’s largest data center. This data center will “play a key role in developing the European digital economy,” according to La Stampa.
