Climaveneta changing the game in cooling systems

Climaveneta has just won the contract to supply the 28MW capacity cooling system for the Chinese Super Computing Center (Wuxi). It requires massive cooling to very precise parameters since the new supercomputer performs at 100 petaFLOPS.

New research by BSRIA reveals that recently built mega data centers are switching to new combinations of cooling equipment to handle rising demand. Data traffic, storage needs and a growing number of IP connections keep rising. This is increasing cooling demands and demanding new solutions. The new hyper data center is likely to deploy a combination of free cooling, liquid cooling, and water-chilled cooling. This could potentially become a trend and the cooling market could change.

Research said that hyper scale data centers like Apple, Google, Facebook, and more are very open to deploying new technologies, which include modular, outdoor AHUs, and evaporative cooling. This research has driven change and permitted conventional air conditioning manufacturers (McQuay, Trane, Carrier, and more) to participate in the data center cooling market. The standard design that was common in the last two decades is changing and data centers in general are evolving quickly.

Climaveneta heat pump or chiller's benefit is that it makes it possible to cool the data center while recovering the waste heat to provide comfort in nearby rooms or for domestic hot water production. This makes it possible to reduce energy waste, therefore improving the building’s green certification rating. The building will also be able to obtain substantial annual savings.
