Owings, MD, September 25, 2012 – ComRent, the leading global provider of load bank rentals and service, announced today it has continued to strengthen its management team with two new hires. Both bring considerable industry experience and expertise to the fast-growing company.
Mark Siira, Director of Business Development
Reporting directly to Chief Operating Officer (COO), Raul Martinez, Mark Siira joins ComRent as director of business development. In this role, Siira will be responsible for growing revenue in developed and undeveloped markets as well as implementing a more strategic, solution-oriented approach toward understanding customer needs and promoting ComRent to select market verticals and market channels.
Prior to joining ComRent, Siira had 16 years of success and progressive responsibility at the nationally recognized, multi-billion dollar privately held Kohler Company. While at Kohler, he held a variety of roles, including leadership in launching a renewable energy business, business development, general management of the paralleling switchgear business, and research and development.
Prior to joining Kohler in 1996, Siira worked for Rockwell International’s Automotive Operations (now Meritor Automotive), based in Troy, Michigan. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from GMI Engineering and Management Institute (now Kettering University), Flint, Mich., and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass.
Shawn Wattles, Product Marketing Manager
Reporting directly to the COO, Shawn Wattles joins ComRent as product marketing manager. In this critical product management role, Wattles will be responsible for product marketing, product roadmap and requirements, and product release planning, as well as go-to-market activities supporting sales. Wattles will also have responsibility for product planning and policy, requirements, contract value/sales targets, and partner roadmaps. Prior to joining ComRent, Wattles was manager of service marketing and proposals for Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas. In this role, Shawn was responsible for all marketing activities for the service division of MPSA for industrial power generation equipment. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the US Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Rollins College Crummer School of Business, Winter Park, Fla.
