ComRent’s Director of Utility Compliance and Solutions, Mark Siira, will be attending this year’s POWER-GEN Conference in Las Vegas from December 5-7, which is expected to have over 20,000 individuals from over 1,400 companies attending.
On December 5, Mark will be the co-chair of “Tuning Microgrids for Optimized Power Generation” from 1:30 – 3:30, which will cover how to optimize and enhance a microgrid’s functionality in order fulfill critical energy needs and ensure resiliency.
In addition, Mark will be speaking on December 6, from 1:30-3:30 PM, in a session titled “Market Opportunities for Distributed Solar Energy”, which will explore the trends, opportunities, and challenges that come with distributed solar energy. Mark will discuss the changes that will occur with PV integration in the next couple of years, which will ultimately affect business and standard practices and how load bank testing is implemented on most systems that are interconnected to the electric power system (EPS).
These changes are expected to create significant opportunities for new applications and new markets and will allow for you to reduce risk, meet your schedule, contemplate contingencies, establish clear responsibilities of stakeholders, and have confidence that the commissioning is done right.
Anyone interested in attending or have any questions can find more information or register for the event on the POWER-GEN website.
ComRent’s team is ready to help ensure you can interpret these changes so your system can be successfully interconnected. We are offering a complimentary consultation to review your project and propose the right load bank testing solution for your requirements. Contact us today.
